Notes from Betty Spurlock Smithson:
Uncle Fulton had a crooked jaw. The family story that I remember is that he rode a bronc horse that he wasn't supposed to ride and got bucked off and the jaw was broken but he didn't tell his folks what happened because he had disobeyed his father. The jaw healed but was crooked for the rest of his life. I don't know what age he was when this happened but we have a picture of him as a teenager and the jaw was crooked then. Uncle Fult was a large man, even bigger than Uncle Theo. Like all the family, he was quiet, pleasant and easy going. He came to all the reunions and enjoyed being around the family. I don't remember Maude at all.
